QSC Peptides · Mod GRF 1-29
Both CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin from QSC Peptides stimulate GH secretion — but via completely different receptor systems, with different half-lives and selectivity profiles. Understanding the distinction is fundamental to GH axis research design.

CJC-1295 and Ipamorelin both drive GH secretion from pituitary somatotrophs — but via entirely different receptor systems operating in parallel on the same cells.
CJC-1295 binds the GHRH receptor (GHRHR), a Gs-protein-coupled receptor. Activation raises intracellular cAMP via adenylyl cyclase, activates PKA, phosphorylates CREB, and drives GH gene transcription. CJC-1295 also increases GH granule priming (increasing the releasable pool). The No DAC form (~30 min t½) produces clean pulsatile responses; the DAC form (~6–8 days) provides sustained GHRHR occupancy.
Ipamorelin binds GHSR-1a (ghrelin receptor), a Gq-protein-coupled receptor. Activation drives PLC → IP3 → intracellular Ca²⁺ → GH granule exocytosis. Critically, Ipamorelin also activates GHSR-1a on hypothalamic neurons, suppressing somatostatin tone — which amplifies pituitary GH responsiveness to all stimuli, including CJC-1295.
The GHRHR and GHSR-1a pathways are independent and complementary. GHRHR drives GH synthesis and granule priming; GHSR-1a drives exocytosis and suppresses somatostatin. Activating both simultaneously produces additive to synergistic GH pulse amplification — more than either alone. This is why QSC Peptides offers the pre-blended CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin GH Stack vial.
Research Protocol Note: For maximum GH pulse amplitude in dual-receptor research, QSC Peptides offers the pre-blended CJC-1295 (No DAC) + Ipamorelin vial in 10mg and 20mg concentrations as a convenient single-vial GH stack.
Use Both Together (GH Stack): For maximum GH axis stimulation targeting both GHRHR and GHSR-1a simultaneously, use the QSC Peptides CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin pre-blended vial — available in 10mg and 20mg concentrations in 10-vial and 20-vial kits.
